We’re a week out from the start of the Spring Conference for Animal Welfare Advancement. That’s three years since we’ve all seen each other in person—which makes us want to get up and dance. To that end, we asked you to help create an official conference playlist and share a song that gets you moving and grooving.
We also asked you to share why you selected the song you did.
“It’s upbeat and it inspires movement…and it’s about CHICAGO!” shares The Association’s Jim Tedford about The Blues Brothers’ version of “Sweet Home Chicago.” Kathleen M. Olson of Purrfect Pals Cat Sanctuary and Adoption Centers contributed “We Are Family.” She explains, “Animal welfare is a special family of compassionate people who know how to laugh, celebrate and cry together.”
And Cleveland APL’s Sharon Harvey on ABBA’s “Waterloo” and “Dancing Queen”: “Really?” she laughs. “You have to ask?”
Turn it up and get ready for next week!
Wishing you could attend but think you waited too long? We’ve got you covered. There’s still some spots left, so learn more and register today.
