Dear Colleagues, We were saddened as animal welfare conferences across the country were cancelled due to COVID-19. As a show of support and collaboration for our colleagues, we are offering registrants of these cancelled events a special discount to our Spring Conference for Animal Welfare.
COVID-19 and the quarantine are pushing us all to re-evaluate our fundraising efforts and find new ways to keep donors engaged. The Association’s Katherine Shenar discussed this with Jim Tedford, CAWA, President and CEO for The Association, and fundraising guru Trish Dewald.

After an extensive retooling of the Certified Animal Welfare Administrator (CAWA) program, The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement is relaunching the CAWA exam this March! The exam will be in a secure online, proctored format available anywhere 24/7. Our CAWAs love that their exclusive credential expanded their skills AND is furthering their career every day.
This year, let’s focus not on the bile around us, but on our resilience – both personally and organizationally – and our ability to overcome adversity and build support.
